GRAVITY - JULY 14-16, 2017 at ME Theatre (Marshall Ellis Theatre)This newest production will challenge gravity as these worlds collide to save light in the universe of darkness. Feel the force of gravity as we bring both Dance Theatre of Orlando and the Vincent Sanrocco Dance Company together. This production is a very unique. Blending multiple styles of dance on stage to tell an abstract story of the war between dark and light. The styles of dance represented classical ballet, contemporary ballet, contemporary funk and modern dance. Choreographers Marshall Ellis and Vincent Sanrocco will be pulling off this fusion of styles.
Synopsis:Long before the birth of light there was darkness, and from that darkness came the Dark Matter. Millennia ago the most ruthless of their kind sought to transform our universe back into one of eternal night. Such evil was possible through the power of the Aether, an ancient force of infinite destruction also known as the fifth element. The Aether represents reality, as it possesses the power to bend the very laws of reality and physics, converting matter into dark matter. It is unique in that, instead of taking the form of a stone or solid object, it appears in the form of a flowing liquid or mist. With the elements combine will it be able to defeat darkness? For more information, visit DanceTheatreOrlando.com or call 407-816-7080.
